Recent Contract Win

Casals & Associates, as a subcontractor to Business and Strategies in Europe (B&S Europe), was recently selected for a European Commission "Framework Contract Lot 7: Culture, Governance and Home Affairs." The award is one of the European Commission’s most active umbrella vehicles for rule of law, democratization, public administration reform, civil society strengthening, anticorruption, access to justice, human rights and dentralization technical services.

Armenia MAAC Project Organizes Anticorruption Forum on Dec. 9, 2009
Casals & Associates (Casals) helped organize an anticorruption forum in Yerevan, Armenia, on Dec. 9, 2009, to mark International Anti-Corruption Day. Francois Vezina, Casals & Associates Chief of Party for the Mobilizing Action Against Corruption (MAAC) Project in Armenia, recently attended a key conference on fighting corruption and promoting good governance in Eastern Europe and Central Asia. The conference, taking place from Sept. 16 to 18, 2009, in Astana, Kazakhstan, resulted in the Sept. 16, 2009, adoption of the the Astana Statement on Good Governance and Fighting Corruption.

NGO Marketplace in Armenia Highlights Innovative Ways to Fight Corruption
To support the fight against corruption, more than 1,700 Armenians attended the Nongovernmental Organization (NGO) Marketplace on April 22, 2009, in the capital city of Yerevan. Organized by Casals & Associates as part of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) Mobilizing Action Against Corruption (MAAC) project, the daylong event was an opportunity for Armenian NGOs to compete and publicly display their anticorruption activities.
