ALEXANDRIA, Va. – June 12, 2009 — Casals & Associates, Inc. (Casals) announced today it is part of the Counterpart International consortium awarded a five-year cooperative agreement from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) to implement the “Global Civil Society Strengthening” program.
“We are very proud to be part of this world-class consortium of associates Counterpart International has put together,” said Casals President Beatriz Casals. “We are also very happy about the opportunity to continue working with USAID on capacity building in the areas of civil society and media.”
With a funding ceiling of about $200 million over the life of the program, the Leader with Associates (LWA) will center on implementing a wide range of civil society, media development, and program design and learning activities for USAID missions around the world.
